I was raised on camping trips and swimming in Cedar Creek Lake. I have since brought a love of both into my adult life. I like to use camping as an escape, but more often than not, I swim for exercise when possible.
Exercise
I'm in the gym five days a week because I believe that you should be comfortable in your own skin. After all, how is someone else supposed to love you if you don't love you?
Medicine
I received a kidney transplant in 2018. I enjoy volunteering with the National Kidney Foundation when possible and also like to visit local dialysis clinics just to talk with the patients. It's my way of giving back a little bit of my good fortune.

Self-motivation and self-advocacy. Your goals and desires will not simply fall into your lap. Decide what you want and work to attain it.

Not as much at my age now, but I have always been annoyed at how very few people share my willingness to do what is right despite the consequences.
